Fang Shield on Display Stand, Cameroon

This shield originates from Cameroon and carved out of one piece of wood. Cameroon has approximately 240 ethnic groups, and this particular was believed to be made by the Fang people, by local artisans. Traditionally, shields were used for defense,ceremonies and dances, but today they also serve symbolic and decorative purpose. We like to celebrate the history behind it. Ideal for wall mount or like this on a display stand.
